This statistic measures the cumulative percentage of a race a driver led. This can be interpreted as a measure of career dominance (how many races a driver should have won based on their average percent led). For instance, a driver who leads 10% of the first ten races of a season would have a total of 1 cumulative race led and would be expected to have 1 race win. Drivers with more actual wins than cumulative races led could be considered closers. Data for NASCAR Xfinity Series is only available from 1995 to present.
